TAKING THE PLUNGE
I CAUGHT A WAVE TODAY
Taking the Plunge, by Janaka
I CAUGHT A WAVE TODAY

I caught a wave today
And for a few seconds
On top I skimmed,
Riding it down into the curl.

Then in a flash of foam,
Feet overhead,
Trying to walk on the sky,
I took a mouthful of sand.

Dizzy and spitting I staggardly stood,
Smiling with an empty mind.

My Friend,
Thank you for the upheavals
You send my way--

What a rush!
