| We have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour. Now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour And there are things to be considered. Where are you living? What are you doing? What are your relationships? Are you in the right relation? Where is your water? Know your garden. It is time to speak your truth Create your community. Be good to each other. And do not look outside yourself for the leader. This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold onto the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and they will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, and push off and into the river, Keep our eyes open, and our head above the water. See who is in there with you and Celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally. Least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, Our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt. The time of the lone wolf is over, Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that you do now must be done in a sacred manner And in celebration. "We are the ones we've been waiting for..." The Elders, Hopi Nation, Oraibi, Arizona |

| Teach your children what we have taught our children - that the earth is our mother. Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons and daughters of the earth. If man spits upon the ground, they spit upon themselves. This we know. The earth does not belong to us, we belong to the earth. This we know. All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons and daughters of the earth. We did not weave the web of life, we are merely a strand in it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves .... --Chief Seattle |

"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and nothing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home." --Tecumseh |
| Hear me, Four Quarters of the world --a relative I am. Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, --a relative to all that is. Give me the eyes to see and the strength to understand, that I may be like you. With your power only can I face the winds. --Black Elk |

Inner silence works from the moment you begin to accrue it. What the old sorcerers were after was the final dramatic, end result of reaching that individual threshold of silence. Some very talented practitioners need only a few minutes of silence to reach that coveted goal. Others, less talented, need long periods of silence, perhaps more than one hour of quietude, before they reach the desired result. The desired result is what the old sorcerers called "stopping the world", the moment when everything around us ceases-- to be what it's always been. This is the moment when sorcerers return to the TRUE nature of man. The old sorcerers always called it "total freedom" --Don Juan (Carlos Castanada) |
