ARTIST STATEMENT

Throughout my artistic career I have been drawn to the image of the lone traveler, the wanderer. It is the archetype of The Fool, or The Sadhu, as well as The Adventurer and The Hermit. In the relative scheme of things, in the perspective of bodies, we are born alone and we die alone. And though we may be surrounded by a thousand friends, there will always be that sense of loneliness, isolation, unless one comes to the place of Universal Singularity, the One, the I AM.

I had no intention in creating Traveler series. However, as I reflect upon the images, I find in them an expression of Consciousness expressing through the individual moving through Manifestation and the relationships of forms, while still remembering, having the Awareness of the bare bones of the Essential, the Ground of Being.
